Now.. how do I disassemble a freeagent ultra portable 1.5TB drive enclosure so that I can install it in a laptop that can handle 12.5mm drives?

I’m glad you posted this. I don’t think Seagate sells the 3tb drive as internal yet, and no stores near me carry a 3tb internal. Add to that the internal drives cost MORE… Yea, I’ll be doing this as well.

This guide was perfectly fine. just take a flathead screwdriver and pry the case open; its not rocket science. If you cant figure it out from this video then you are a moron. No excuses.

I have tryed it again in a new Antec external drive case and it still has the clicking so you do need it in the computer. I dont think any external drive cases that you can put it in. i have tryed a 2tb external iomega and a Antec cace that is worth $50. The hard drive still makes the clicking.
